Synthetic Tests Overview

Node-based (synthetic) tests simulate the experience that end-users have when connecting to a website or web-based application. They run on a scheduled basis, performing the exact same type of interaction with the monitored system each time, so that you can establish a performance baseline and detect any significant changes in performance. You can configure these tests to run on any of Catchpoint's world-wide fleet of test nodes, or on your own internal Enterprise Nodes.

Synthetic Test Alerts

You can configure Catchpoint to proactively alert you when a test detects poor performance or downtime in the monitored system, so that you can address issues promptly. Our advanced alerting system lets you set up custom triggers based on the performance indicators of your choosing. You can have alerts sent to one or more individuals' emails, as well as posting alert data to other tracking systems via webhooks.
