Overview Dashboards

Your Catchpoint Portal includes several preconfigured "Overview" Dashboards covering different product areas. (You may not see all of these tabs depending on the features enabled in your Portal.)

Read on for a description of each Overview Dashboard.

  • System: This dashboard provides a general overview of the state of your monitored systems, and includes the following widgets:
    • Errors: lists any errors encountered by your tests during the selected timeframe.
    • Events: lists any events you have logged with Catchpoint during the selected timeframe.
    • Alerts: lists any alerts generated by your tests during the selected timeframe.
    • Node Map: displays a world map highlighting all cities with nodes that were targeted by your tests during the selected timeframe. You can hover over each city to see summary data for each node.
    • Tests: displays a table listing all of your tests that were active during the selected timeframe. The table provides each test's average Test Time and percentage of Downtime.
    • My Apps: displays a world map summarizing the results of your Real User Measurements.
  • Tests: This Dashboard focuses specifically on node-based tests, and includes the following:
    • Errors: lists any errors encountered by your tests during the selected timeframe.
    • Events: lists any events you have logged with Catchpoint during the selected timeframe.
    • Alerts: lists any alerts generated by your tests during the selected timeframe
    • Node Map: displays a world map highlighting all cities with nodes that were targeted by your tests during the selected timeframe. You can hover over each city to see summary data for each node.
    • Tests: displays color-coded tiles representing each of your tests. The color of each tile indicates whether test performance has dipped below a preset threshold.
  • BGP: This Dashboard is focused on BGP tests in particular
    • Tests: displays colored tiles showing the % availability of a BGP route for each test.
    • Map: displays a world map with color-codes representing BGP test results for each region.
  • Endpoint: This Dashboard focuses on the status of employee Endpoint devices:
    • Worst Locations: lists locations with the largest number of problem Endpoints.
    • Problem Endpoints: displays a count of employee devices that are generating alerts or errors.
    • Problem Apps: displays a count of employee applications with performance issues
    • Problem Tests: displays a count of scheduled endpoint tests that have problems
    • Worst Endpoints: a sortable table of endpoint devices with lowest Experience Scores
    • Worst Apps: a sortable table of Employee Applications with worst Experience Scores
    • Tests: tiles displaying the Experience Score for each scheduled Endpoint Test
  • Internet Sonar:
    • Outage Timeline: a timeline indicating the number of outages detected at each point within the selected timeframe. Each service outage includes a list of error types we've observed, including: DNS, Connect, SSL, No Response, Response Code (400/500), Timeout, and Packet Loss.
    • Outage Map/Globe: a world map (or 3D globe) showing the locations of detected outages. The tiles on the right indicate services/networks affected, the number of affected cities, and the outage status. Learn more about Internet Sonar.
    • Network: a detailed view of network incidents showing the network path from nodes/cities to destinations and where network incidents are occurring in the path.
  • Tracing
    • The Tracing Overview Dashboard provides a quick view of the Systems you are monitoring with Catchpoint's Tracing solution. Learn more about Tracing

Filters

When viewing the Tests Overview or Endpoint Monitoring Overview dashboards, you will see additional Filtering options which apply across all Widgets in the Dashboard. You can access these Filters by clicking the blue Filter button at the top of the Dashboard.
