The Tracing Overview Dashboard provides a high-level overview of your application and its individual components, helping you to visualize exactly where in the process an error or performance degradation is occurring. Once Tracing is enabled, you can find the Tracing Overview Dashboard alongside the other overview dashboards in the Dashboard module.

In addition to the Tracing Overview Dashboard, you can add Tracing data to Custom Dashboards.
Timeline
The timeline at the top of the Tracing Overview Dashboard displays a line graph of the Response Time metric for the System.

You can choose the statistical calculation for this metric using the dropdown menu at the upper right. Any vertical red bars in the graph represent the number of errors that occured at that time, and you can go into the settings menu via the button at upper right to display the number of Requests.
You can adjust the time period by dragging the shaded section on the timeline, and by using the date/time selection fields at the upper left.
Architecture Map
By default, the main section of the Dashboard displays a map of your system's architecture to help you visualize the flow of data among the services in your application stack.

You can also use the view options at the upper left to view your services in a table or as tiles.

Each item in the map represents a single Service and the arrows represent connections from one service to another. You can rearrange the items for logical flow and readability by dragging the around on the map. In Cluster layout, the connection arrows will always point straight from one connected service to the other. In Flow layout, the connections curve such that data always flows out of the bottom of one service and into the top of the next service.
Services with Red or Orange circles around them have Scores that fall below warning or critical thresholds.
Services that generated alerts during the selected timeframe will be marked with a red bell icon.
Details Panel
You can click any service or connection on the map to open its details panel, where you can view performance metrics, errors, and requests.

For Services, the metrics represent the median values across all requests to all connected services. For arrows, the metrics represent the median value for requests between the two connected services.
Inactive Items
You can expand the panel at the bottom of the map to view a list of inactive items. These are services that are mapped in the System, but which had no activity during the selected timeframe.
