Viewing Dashboards

Prev Next

Dashboards give you a quick overview of the state of your monitored systems. A Dashboard is a single page consisting of multiple configurable "widgets" - visualization tools that display essential information in an easy-to-read format. Depending on your permissions, you might have multiple Dashboards available to you for viewing within the Catchpoint Portal. Read on to learn how to access and view Dashboards.

Accessing Dashboards

To access the Dashboard module, click on the Dashboard button: in the main menu. (This is the default view when you log into the Catchpoint portal.)

Choosing a Dashboard to View

When you open the Dashboard module, the Default overview dashboard is displayed. You can select another Dashboard by clicking the My Dashboards button at the top-left, then navigating to and selecting another Dashboard:

Dashboard Timeframe

When viewing a custom Dashboard, you will see a Timeframe drop-down list in the upper right corner of the Dashboard.

This control enables you to change the timeframe for all widgets in the Dashboard at once. Note that some Widgets, depending on the type or data source, may not support all timeframe options. If you select a timeframe that some widgets in the Dashboard do not support, those widgets will remain at their existing setting. Choosing "Default Timeframe" reverts all widgets back to their default setting, as configured per widget.

Interactive Widget Features

Depending on how a Dashboard is configured, you may be able to interact with some of the widgets to filter the items displayed, change groupings, or change timeframes. See the examples below:
