Alerts can be sent in four ways - Email,Voice Call, Email to SMS, and SMS. The Email to SMS option can only be used if your cellphone carrier provides you with an email address to send SMS to your phone number. This option is free to send, but you may still be charged for receiving the message depending on your contract with the carrier. In case your carrier does not provide this feature, you can rely on the "SMS" option, which sends native SMS to the phone number provided. The native SMS option is free to use but you will be incurring fees for messages sent (the fee is due to the charges we incur from the carriers).
SMS alerts are delivered from this number: (646) 663-4060. You can define the SMS notification settings in the Contact details page under Notification Type.

Sending alert notifications to the phone is especially useful for critical alerts. Since SMS is limited to 160 characters, we include only the most important information so that you know where to look once inside the Catchpoint system. For SMS to Email, the format of the email address is as follows: <number>@<carrier domain>:
- Verizon:
<number>@vtext.com - ATT:
<domestic-number>@txt.att.net - Tmobile:
<number>@tmomail.net - Sprint:
<number>@messaging.sprintpcs.com
