Catchpoint’s Endpoint Monitoring lets you monitor your end users’ experience with collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams and Zoom, capturing network-layer performance metrics including Throughput and Data Sent / Received, as well as Call Quality metrics. These metrics are gathered via a packet-capture tool (nPcap) which monitors the protocols these applications use to communicate.
Some Endpoints running version 4.0.0.1424 have experienced an issue with Call Quality metrics not being captured while nProbe is running for Microsoft Teams and Zoom applications. With the latest Endpoint Agent version 5.0.0.1460, you should be able to view call quality metrics for Microsoft Teams and Zoom applications running on RTP.
Collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams and  Zoom operate using closed protocols, which are periodically updated and enhanced for security and other reasons. Some changes may be announced in release notes, but often there is no public notification provided. Such changes may impact any tool or library that uses the protocol information to determine various metrics. Catchpoint makes changes to the Endpoint agent when possible, to address any issues caused by changes to the collaboration tools.
