Locations

The Locations feature enables you to aggregate Endpoint performance data based on physical location, such as an office, or by VPN aggregator. This enables easier location-based analysis and reporting.

Locations are defined by the external IP address(es) used to connect to the Catchpoint Portal. Whenever an Endpoint sends data to the portal, its external IP is detected and used to map the data to a configured Location. You can also add Internal IP address ranges to break the data down further. For example, if all data from a large campus will come from the same external IP range, but different buildings within the campus use different internal IP address ranges, you can add the internal IPs to differentiate the buildings for more granular performance analysis.

  3. Input a name for this location or VPN aggregator (e.g. "London Office" or "West Coast VPN")
  4. Input the external IP and/or Internal IP address(es)/range(s) for the location or VPN aggregator.
  5. Click Save
