Catchpoint determines the Critical Path for Web tests and highlights the requests in this path in the waterfall. The critical path is the chain of requests, with parent-child dependencies, that was the longest during the entire page load (up to Document Complete). For Chrome and Edge monitors, the dependencies are based on the request initiator, therefore it recognizes JavaScript-triggered requests/paths.

Please note that Catchpoint's Critical Path is based on HTTP request relationships and the network time.
