## Assign Targeting and Scheduling

If configuring at the Folder or Test level, first disable [inheritance](https://docs.catchpoint.com/docs/inheritance) of Targeting and Scheduling settings, then edit configuration settings per the table below:

| ## Targeting and Scheduling Settings |
| --- |
| ## Setting | ## Description |
| Nodes | The specific Nodes which this test will run on. (Input Node names or use the list function to select Nodes) |
| Run On | The number of Nodes that will run the test at each scheduled interval. - **All Nodes** - every selected Node executes the Test every time. - **Subset of Nodes** - the specified quantity of Nodes (randomly selected) executes the Test each time. |
| Frequency | The time interval between Test runs. |
| Node Distribution | - **Random** - Test is run at a different time by each Node during the scheduled interval. - **Concurrent** - Test is run at approximately the same time on all Nodes during each scheduled interval. |
| Run Schedule | Times during which Tests ***will*** run. (Must be pre-configured in the Settings Module. You can Save your progress and return to this configuration if you need to create a Schedule.) |
| Maintenance Schedule | Times during which Tests will ***not*** run. (Must be pre-configured in the Settings Module. You can Save your progress and return to this configuration if you need to create a Schedule.) |
