# Sharing Dashboards

You can share Catchpoint Dashboards with people who do not have access to the Catchpoint Portal by creating **Public Links**.

### Creating a New Public Link:

1. Select the dashboard you want to share.
2. Click **Share Dashboard** in the Dashboard header.
3. To share this dashboard securely, check the **Token protect link** checkbox.
4. Click the **Generate Link** button
5. A new shareable link (and token, if selected) is displayed. You  can copy each item to your clipboard by clicking the copy button  ![](https://cdn.document360.io/cb4af8f9-6751-4fd2-b39c-07aae832badb/Images/Documentation/4403189297165-Copy_button.png) to     the right of each field.

Once you have completed the steps above, you can share the link with anyone that you want to have access to the dashboard. When sharing a token-protected link, be careful where and how you store the token, and how you communicate it to the recipient. We recommend sending the link and token separately and through different channels (e.g. email the link and send the token via text) in order to maintain security.

To view a token-protected link, the user must add a request header called **"cp-token"** and set its value to the token generated in Catchpoint. There are many publicly available tools for adding request headers, such as the Chrome extension [ModHeader.](https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/modheader/idgpnmonknjnojddfkpgkljpfnnfcklj/related?hl=en)

### Managing Public Links

You can view all Public Links that have been created for a Dashboard by expanding the **Created Links** section of the **Share Dashboard** window. Clicking on any of the rows will open that Public Link in a new browser tab. There are also some options available by hovering your mouse to the right of a Dashboard link and clicking the ellipses that appears:

- **Regenerate (secure links only)** - creates a new Token for securely accessing this link, this invalidates any existing tokens and resets the **Expires in** value to 365 days.
- **Copy URL** - copies this link URL to your clipboard.
- **Copy Token (Secure Links only)** - copies the token for this link to   your clipboard.
- **Delete Links** - permanently deletes this link.
