# Portal Login Security

If you forget or mistype your credentials when attempting to log in to your Catchpoint account, the following message will display:

You will get three attempts to correctly enter your password. After the third attempt, all subsequent tries will require a CAPTCHA.

Although this added security measured is required after the third attempt to login into an account, there is **no limit to the number of attempts**, and you will not be locked out of your account for trying multiple times.

If needed, you can select the **Forgot Password** option to have password reset instructions emailed to you.
