"Paris Traceroute Mode Disabled" Option Removed

Prev Next

In the Peregrine release on March 27, 2023, we removed the Paris Traceroute Mode Disabled option from the portal interface. This option was located in the Advanced Settings section of the properties blade for products, folders, traceroute tests, and node-to-node tests, and also in Additional Settings for Traceroute Instant Tests.

The removal of this option does not change the behavior of any tests, because the setting was not actually having any effect. With the release of the Symphony platform, we changed our system on the back-end so that the Traceroute monitor always operates with Paris Mode disabled, but due to an oversight we did not remove the option from the UI at that time. So, regardless of whether this option was selected or not, all traceroute and node-to-node tests have actually been running with Paris mode disabled, and will continue to do so.
