# Overriding IP for Node to Node Test

When configuring a Node, you can specify an IP to use specifically for [Node-to-Node test](/v1/docs/node-to-node-test) targeting. This option allows Node-to-Node testing between private IPs instead of using the Nodes' public IPs.
