# Node Groups

Node Groups allow you to define logical groupings of Nodes for targeting by your tests. Any changes made to a given Node Group will automatically propagate to the Tests targeting that group. This makes it easy to manage Node targeting centrally as opposed to having to manage targeting for multiple Products, Folders, or Tests.

You can access the Node Groups page by clicking on the Nodes button <img src="https://cdn.document360.io/cb4af8f9-6751-4fd2-b39c-07aae832badb/Images/Documentation/4405699782555-Nodes_Button_Collapsed.png" style="height: 48px; vertical-align: middle;"/> in the Main Menu, then selecting **Node Groups**. This page displays the following information about each Node Group:

- **ID** - an automatically generated number that uniquely identifies the Group
- **Name** - the name of this Node Group
- **Node Count** - the number of Nodes assigned to this Node Group
- **Network** - the type of Nodes included in the group (Backbone, Wireless, etc.)
- **Description** - optional additional information about the Node Group
- **Last Updated** - the date and time when this Node Group was last updated

### Creating or Modifying a Node Group:

1. Click on the **Create** button in the upper left corner of the Node Group table, or, to modify an existing Node Group, locate the Node Group in the table and click on the name.
2. Input a name for the node group and optionally a description.
3. Select the Node type in the Network dropdown list.
4. Select the desired Nodes to include in the group using the Node selection menu.
5. Click the **Save** button.

### Targeting a Node Group

When configuring [Targeting and Scheduling](/v1/docs/targeting-and-scheduling) at the Product, Folder, or Test level, you can click **Node Groups** and then select the desired group(s). All nodes included in the group will then be targeted by the test(s). If you later add or remove nodes from the node group, this change will be reflected in your tests without the need to make any changes in Targeting and Scheduling.
