# New Endpoint logging domain

Catchpoint's Endpoint monitoring uses an app installed locally on your employee's devices to capture device- and application-performance metrics and transmit them to Catchpoint for monitoring and analysis. We are planning to update the domain name that we use for this communication. **This change may require your organization to update its firewalls or any domain-based allowlists to allow traffic to the new domain.**

The new domain will be implemented in the new version of the Endpoint app to be released on **April 15, 2025.**

Old domain: **r.3gl.net** New domain: **e.3gl.net**

We suggest allowing/whitelisting the domain with a wildcard: ****.3gl.net***. Both domains will be active after the change, so older versions of the Endpoint app will continue to function.
