For all test types, there are some common settings that you can configure in the More Settings section.

- Run From: Use these fields if you want to define a limited time window during which this test will run. By default, a newly created test will run from the time it is created indefinitely into the future. Note that this setting is distinct from Schedules which define recurring time periods to run or pause tests. If you define a "Run From" time window, the test will automatically be paused outside of that time window, but you can always change the time window and resume the test.
- Index: Add indexes to tests if you want to combine results from multiple related tests to generate a benchmark for performance comparison. For example, you could create an index for all tests related to your Website's performance, and then you'd be able to compare each test's performance against their aggregated performance in Catchpoint's analysis tools. You must create an Index first before adding it to a test configuration.
- Labels: Use Labels to make it easier to categorize and find related tests. For example, you could create labels that identify the department that each test is associated with. A Label consists of a key/value pair, so in this example you might create a few labels with values like:
- "Department : IT"
- "Department : QA"
- "Department : Engineering"
Once created, you can sort and filter the Tests list based on the label values. You can also search for tests by Label by inputting "\Label:" followed by your search terms in the Control Center search box.
- Gateway/Address Host: This setting applies to all Test Types that support the Ping and Traceroute commands. In some cases, the target host might be behind a gateway which blocks ICMP packets. The field allows you to specify the IP of the gateway to use as a target when the agent runs a Ping or Traceroute.
- Test Data Webhook: Enable this to make all data generated by this test available via Webhook for ingestion by other systems. You must also complete the Test Data Webhook configuration in Settings.
