# Advanced DNS Alerts

When configuring alerts specific to the DNS Test type, there is a **Record Type** option which provides the ability to alert against various aspects of the response received, including:

- **A**
- **A or AAAA**
- **AAAA**
- **CNAME**
- **HTTPS**
- **NS**
- **Other**
- **SVCB**

Select the record type that you want to alert against, input the regex to match, and select whether you want to be alerted when it is **Equal** or **Not Equal to** the specified value.
