# Fastly Configuration for NEL

To configure NEL for Fastly, please follow the steps below:

1. Log in to Fastly.
2. Click **Configure** in the main menu.
3. Select your service from the **Service** dropdown menu.
4. Click on the blue **Configuration** menu on the top right and select  **Clone Active**.
5. Click **Content**.

1. Click **Creater Header**.

1. Fill in the fields, using the screenshot below as an example.

- Make sure that within the JSON string, all quotation marks are escaped. (Replace quotation marks (**"**) with `%22`)
- Enclose the entire JSON string in quotation marks.

**Example JSON:**

```
"{%22report_to%22:%22network-errors%22, %22max_age%22:2592000, %22success_fraction%22:0, %22failure_fraction%22:1.0, %22include_subdomains%22:true}"`
```
