Fastly Configuration for NEL

To configure NEL for Fastly, please follow the steps below:

  1. Log in to Fastly.
  2. Click Configure in the main menu.
  3. Select your service from the Service dropdown menu.
  4. Click on the blue Configuration menu on the top right and select  Clone Active.
  5. Click Content.

  1. Click Creater Header.

  1. Fill in the fields, using the screenshot below as an example.
  • Make sure that within the JSON string, all quotation marks are escaped. (Replace quotation marks (") with %22)
  • Enclose the entire JSON string in quotation marks.

Example JSON:

"{%22report_to%22:%22network-errors%22, %22max_age%22:2592000, %22success_fraction%22:0, %22failure_fraction%22:1.0, %22include_subdomains%22:true}"`


8. Click Save.
9. Do the same for the next header.
10. Click ACTIVATE.
