Endpoint Tests are tests that run in the background from employees' devices, automatically checking the reachability and performance of network-based applications on a scheduled basis. This can be a useful supplement to your Employee App monitoring, as it provides continual performance monitoring, even when the employee is not actively using any Employee Apps.
Endpoint Test Types
There are four types of Endpoint Tests available: Ping, Traceroute,Web (Object), and Bandwidth.
- Ping - performs a ping test from the employee's device to the specified destination
- Traceroute - performs a traceroute test from the employee's device to the specified destination
- Web (Object) - connects to specified webpage and loads the primary URL
- Bandwidth - checks the bandwidth of the Endpoint's internet connection using the M-Lab bandwidth test system.
