Fortunately, you won’t need the Force to explore this release. We hope you enjoy the new features and improvements! ## Catchpoint Enterprise Node Deployment via LogicMonitor Collector Customers using both Catchpoint and LogicMonitor can now deploy a Catchpoint Enterprise Node directly alongside a LogicMonitor EA Collector. This simplifies deployment by allowing you to provision private synthetic monitoring vantage points on your existing Collector infrastructure. **Key Features & Capabilities** - **Single-Step Installation:** Enable the Install Catchpoint Enterprise Node toggle during Collector setup to deploy both components on the same 64-bit Linux machine. - **Automated Health Tracking:** The EA Collector automatically monitors Catchpoint service status and reports health events on the Collector Events page. - **Resilient Upgrades:** Catchpoint services run alongside the Collector. If a Catchpoint service issue occurs, the Collector continues operating without interruption. Interested in expanding your Catchpoint or LogicMonitor footprint? Contact your Account Team to learn how deeper integration across your environment can enhance your end-to-end visibility. ## SLO Alerts Catchpoint Service Level Objectives (SLOs) let you define reliability and performance goals for your digital services and use synthetic testing to continuously measure whether those goals are being met. With SLO Alerts, you can now be proactively notified when your error budget is at risk, giving you time to investigate and remediate problems before they result in an SLO or SLA violation. SLO Alerts are configured directly with your SLO Objectives and provide two complementary ways to identify risk: - **Burn Rate Alerts** notify you when an SLO is consuming its error budget faster than expected. Automatic configuration is easy with industry-recommended Fast Burn (Critical) and Medium Burn (Warning) settings. These help identify both sudden, severe degradations and sustained problems that could exhaust your error budget if left unresolved. - **Violation Budget Alerts** let you set Warning and Critical thresholds based on how much of your error budget has already been consumed during a weekly, monthly, or quarterly SLO window. Alerts use Catchpoint's existing alerting workflow, so notifications can be delivered to your configured recipients and API endpoints, including third-party services. SLO Alerts also appear in the Catchpoint Alerts Log as SLO Burn Rate or Budget Consumption type alerts on individual tests. This new capability provides earlier visibility into reliability risk, less manual monitoring of SLO dashboards, and more time to act before your error budget is exhausted and customer commitments are impacted. ![SLO.png](https://cdn.document360.io/cb4af8f9-6751-4fd2-b39c-07aae832badb/Images/Documentation/SLO.png) ## WebPageTest Scheduled Test ### Device, Browser and Connection Options We’ve updated the WebPageTest Scheduled Test configuration experience to provide greater flexibility and clarity when defining test environments. Previously, device, browser, and connection settings were combined into predefined configurations. With this update, each attribute can now be selected independently through dedicated dropdowns. ![Image](https://cdn.document360.io/cb4af8f9-6751-4fd2-b39c-07aae832badb/Images/Documentation/image(648).png) ## REST API Updates ### Advance notice: Non-Analytics REST API Usage Limits Effective **October 28th**, non-analytic API calls will be subject to system usage limits. Non-analytic requests interact directly with our core application databases. High-volume call spikes from a single account can overload shared resources, risking platform-wide slowness or outages. Fixed limits protect platform stability, uptime, and performance for all customers. - **Familiar Functionality:** Operates identically to analytic limits (same error handling and reporting). - **Fixed Limits:** Non-analytic limits are non-configurable and cannot be increased. - **Track Your Usage:** Monitor your volume on the REST API Integration page. - **Thresholds:** Numerical limits will be published and applied on October 28th. #### REST API Versioning Policy We support the latest stable version of our REST API, and the prior version for twelve months after a new version becomes stable. As of July 11, 2024, **REST API v3** is the current stable version. **REST API v4** is available in preview and may include breaking changes as it evolves. To stay supported and take advantage of the latest improvements, we recommend keeping your integration up to date with the latest stable version. ### REST API Bug Fixes - Fixed missing Summary details in the Response Body of GET `webpagetest/results/{testId}` - Resolved intermittent 429 Errors on v3 Alerts API Endpoint - The Create Test API now defaults request settings to “Inherit” when no value is specified ## Additional Features - Heartbeat test projects allowed within a Product - % of affected endpoints threshold added to Endpoint Monitoring alerts - Streaming tests available on select cloud nodes - Endpoint Monitoring support for Edge browser out-of-the-box* **Note**: These changes are depended on the Agent release ## Other Bug Fixes - Alerts configured with empty thresholds no longer show 0 for threshold values in alert emails - Smartboard Network Visualization for ASN RTT no longer displays wrong numbers - Fixed problem where users with “Manage Contacts” permissions couldn’t delete SSO-provisioned contacts - Resolved issue with Node-to-Node smartboard showing grey tiles when data was present - Improved cases where Node-to-Node tests alerted unexpectedly - WebPageTest now completes successfully for URLs protected by a Basic Authentication prompt - Fixed various Playwright/Puppeteer bugs: - Filmstrip sometimes only shows 1 frame - Filmstrips missing if page renders too fast - File downloads not completing and receiving rejection errors - Test failing due to truncated cookie from latest Agent version: 2.17.4.1 - Test failing due to truncated invalid cookies from latest Agent version: 2.17.4.1 ## Agent Release Some of the features in the release (where noted) require the latest version of the Catchpoint Agent to be running on the selected Node. The Catchpoint Agent rollout involves two dimensions: - **Public Nodes managed by Catchpoint**: Agent rollout on public nodes takes place in stages following each release. Agent release announcements are posted here: [https://nodestatus.catchpoint.com](https://nodestatus.catchpoint.com/). - **Private Enterprise Nodes managed by customers**: Customers can upgrade Enterprise Nodes any time at their convenience. We advise customers to upgrade Enterprise nodes promptly after each release to benefit from the new feature functionality. - Instructions for upgrading Enterprise nodes can be found in the [help documentation](https://docs.catchpoint.com/v1/docs/linux-commands-and-outputs).
