# Catchpoint Multihomed Nodes

## Overview

In the Catchpoint Portal, you may see several nodes where the internet service provider is labeled as **"Multihomed"** (eg **"Honolulu, HI - Multihomed"**).

## What is Multihomed?

For multihomed nodes, there are two or more separate internet connections the node can use for incoming and outgoing traffic. These connections are established with two or more separate ISPs. Therefore, the IP of the node can be different from one test run to the next. Multihomed indicates that the node is not on a dedicated ISP connection and the ISP may change. This may have an impact on performance and availability testing as the connections are using different networks to reach the server.

## Nodes Map

To view Multihomed nodes, go to [Nodes > Map](https://portal.catchpoint.com/ui/Symphony/Nodes/NodeInformation) and search "Multihomed" to filter.
