# ASNs Library

The ASNs Library enables you to store and manage a list of Autonomous System Numbers (ASNs) that your organization's advertised prefixes should be originating from. By listing these ASNs, Catchpoint's BGP monitors can inform you when any of your advertised prefixes are originating from some other ASN, which might indicate a BGP hijack.

This information is displayed in the BGP Overview Dashboard. Any potential hijacks will be marked in red, indicating that you should investigate further.

## Adding an ASN

To add a new ASN to the Library:

1. Navigate to **Control Center > Library > ASNs**
2. Click **Add ASN**
3. Input the ASN value (numeric value up to five digits)
4. Input a name for the ASN
5. Optionally input a description of the ASN
6. Click **Save**
