Welcome to the Oberon release!
Named after the second-largest moon of Uranus, Oberon is a distant world that holds clues to billions of years of cosmic history. Its name comes from a mythical ruler in Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, adding a touch of magic to this mysterious moon. We hope the features and enhancements in this release bring a little magic to your digital experience monitoring!
Catchpoint is becoming LM Digital Experience
On October 31, Catchpoint is officially becoming LM Digital Experience as part of the LogicMonitor platform. We're bringing digital experience monitoring into LogicMonitor's unified observability family to give you an even better, seamlessly connected experience.
Here's a quick look at what's happening:
- What to Expect: The Catchpoint website URL will redirect to LogicMonitor, and you'll see a refreshed interface. Keep an eye out over the next few releases as we roll out updated logos, product names, and ongoing enhancements across the portal.
- What Stays the Same: Your monitoring won't miss a beat. Your core features, daily workflows, and existing login credentials stay exactly as they are, no action needed on your end.
If you have any questions along the way, your LogicMonitor team is always here to help!
LogicMonitor Service Context with Digital Experience
Connect synthetic tests to Services to view Digital Experience alongside infrastructure health. Discover relevant tests through LogicMonitor resource properties, then review and manage their service associations.
Service Insights brings test and service health into one view, with alerts for service members and tests. The new Third-Party Members tab shows external providers identified by Internet Sonar, such as CDN or DNS providers, helping you spot dependencies that may affect user experience.

Integration with LogicMonitor Tracing
Digital Experience is now integrated with LogicMonitor Tracing. This enables you to troubleshoot performance issues discovered from synthetic tests by drilling into a corresponding application trace directly from the synthetic test record.
When reviewing a synthetic test waterfall on the Records page, select View Trace to open the related trace in the LogicMonitor portal. This connects the test's request-level timing details with trace data, helping you follow a slow or failed request into the services involved and investigate where the issue occurred.

Traceroute Multiple IPs per Hop - Beta
Traceroute results in the Records page now show multiple IP responses at each hop, giving you a clearer view of how traffic can take different routes through the network. This added detail helps you investigate path variations and identify route-specific performance issues, especially in complex or load-balanced networks.

BGP Alerts
Configure alerts for BGP announcements and withdrawals, as well as RPKI max-length violations and origin ASN mismatches. These alerts help you spot unexpected routing changes and route origin issues sooner, so you can investigate potential reachability or security impacts.
WebPageTest Instant Test
WPT Agent Migration from GCP to AWS
On November 16th, we are migrating our WebPageTest (WPT) agents from GCP to AWS to boost performance and reliability.
If you whitelist IP addresses, you will need to update your firewall rules to include our new AWS IPs before November 16th to prevent test failures. (If you don't restrict IP access for WPT agents, no action is required.)
- Updated IPs: Active agents (including Dulles, Frankfurt, London, Tokyo, Singapore, and others) have new AWS IP addresses taking effect November 16, 2026.
- Location Moves: Agents in Hamina, Amsterdam, and Toronto are moving to Stockholm, Zurich, and Montreal/Quebec respectively.
- Retired Agents: Agents in Salt Lake City, UT and Council Bluffs, IA are being decommissioned on November 16th.
- Under Review: Our Hong Kong agent location is currently under review. We will share an update once its final status is confirmed.
Node JS Wrapper - Beta
Use the WebPageTest Node.js API wrapper with Instant Tests to automate performance testing and integrate results into your existing Node.js workflows. Built-in polling checks test status and retrieves results when they're ready, while pingback support notifies your workflow when a test completes.
REST API Updates
Non-Analytics REST API Usage Limits
Non-Analytics REST API requests are now limited to 500 per minute, 10,000 per hour, and 100,000 per day. These limits help maintain reliable API access and consistent performance across the platform.
REST API Versioning Policy
We support the latest stable version of our REST API, and the prior version for twelve months after a new version becomes stable. As of July 11, 2024, REST API v3 is the current stable version. REST API v4 is available in preview and may include breaking changes as it evolves.
To stay supported and take advantage of the latest improvements, we recommend keeping your integration up to date with the latest stable version.

Agent Release
Some of the features in the release (where noted) require the latest version of the Catchpoint Agent to be running on the selected Node. The Catchpoint Agent rollout involves two dimensions:
- Public Nodes managed by Catchpoint: Agent rollout on public nodes takes place in stages following each release. Agent release announcements are posted here: https://nodestatus.catchpoint.com.
- Private Enterprise Nodes managed by customers: Customers can upgrade Enterprise Nodes any time at their convenience. We advise customers to upgrade Enterprise nodes promptly after each release to benefit from the new feature functionality.
- Instructions for upgrading Enterprise nodes can be found in the help documentation.
